What It Is
Pronology mRes™ is a cutting-edge standalone, multi-resolution encoder with a unique uncompressed recording architecture that seamlessly records three tiers of uncompressed video per SDI input channel prior to wrapping: a high-resolution media file, an edit proxy and a live web-streamable proxy. The mRes encoder ensures that every "bit" of your acquired video content will never lose its original quality or metadata—ever: mRes makes a full uncompressed copy locally to the recording server and writes all compressed files to any external storage you choose.
Why It Works
We know the requirements: the post department wants one codec, the promo group wants another, and the online team wants something small and fast for publishing. mRes creates them all in real time—or faster—for simultaneous delivery to everyone in your pipeline. And because mRes recording is always on, you can recover footage at any time, even after the fact: just type in timecode from the past and create new clips from the uncompressed master. With a simple, easily configurable interface that is ready to go in minutes, mRes was uniquely developed to handle some of the most demanding workflows in today's fast-paced, tapeless production environments.

What It Is
The Pronology CenterPoint Media Asset Management (MAM) system was designed by users, for users, with a uniquely flexible workflow engine that simplifies the daily tasks of end-to-end content creation and distribution. Through a single platform that unifies the production process from acquisition to archive and feature-rich production tools, CenterPoint allows a limitless number of users to simultaneously and remotely acquire, manage, approve, log, distribute, transcode and archive content using a standard web browser. The system's feature-rich, modular structure flexibly scales to any size production environment while also providing traditional asset management features users have come to trust, including archiving with metadata support, large file uploading, video sharing and automated transcoding with software QC. Accessible as a hosted model or through our SaaS, the system's user-friendly interface can accommodate a wide range of possible workflows in today's fast-paced, file-based and often geographically distributed production environments.
Why It Works
CenterPoint's custom-designed and built ingest control application is capable of controlling industry-standard record devices (for example, EVS XT, GVG K2, etc.) as well as our own new mRes encoder, through a clear, simple-to-use, single user interface that facilitates the recording process and metadata entry while also minimizing training and labor costs. The control interface is directly linked to the CenterPoint database, further minimizing human error. CenterPoint components are designed to handle and mix any type of media asset compression formats and our digital asset management system works equally well in Avid, Final Cut Pro and Adobe® Premiere® Pro environments. Our cutting-edge Location Intelligence tool lets users scan and find assets of every resolution easily, whether in the same facility or across the globe, with "at-a-glance" views of streamable proxy files. Producers also have access to intuitive logging and sub-clip tools and can even use Web proxies to create a storyboard or “paper” cut of projects to send as a “sequence” to an editor. Since these sequences can be associated with any resolution of a recording, the editor can load the CenterPoint storyboard into their NLE and link to the appropriate resolution for on- or off-line work. The system's support for both QuickTime and MXF (including Avid-compliant OPAtom) allows media to be captured, managed and natively archived in a format optimized for the editing/repurposing process. The complete CenterPoint MAM system extends its archiving functionality to cloud-based options. Every single asset, including imported and/or recorded content and metadata, is further backed up to LTO data tape.

Why It Works
StreamFile Core, built upon the same core that powers our award-winning mRes encoder, bridges the gap between new IP-based video technology and legacy file-based workflows. This application will enable facilities and studios moving to an IP-based platform to utilize their existing NLE, graphics, and digital system infrastructures.
The application is agnostic to frame rate and resolution. This architecture allows for a future-proof way to utilize evolving IP video standards without any hardware upgrades to existing systems.
StreamFile Core is an easy-to-use tool that builds upon Pronology's reputation of creating simple and understandable user interfaces. It allows for analysis and validation of hardware to insure compatibility, simple setup and optimal performance. This affordable tool is designed to be run on any system with minimal setup allowing companies of any size to enter the IP technology landscape, without a large investment.

Why It Works
Many productions acquire and store their high-resolution footage — and often multiple copies of that footage — in locations separate from where producers and editors need to work with it. Assets can be spread across storage pools in the same building, in an OB van across town or at a facility across the globe. CenterPoint's Location Intelligence helps users streamline the process of finding and delivering the right resolutions to the right people for maximum efficiency. No more wasting valuable time, bandwidth and storage space transferring redundant media or creating extraneous copies of assets that already exist. With Location Intelligence, editors can simply glance at an icon to pinpoint a media asset’s location. If the high-resolution material is not available within a current storage pool, an editor can then request a copy be delivered to his or her location. Location Intelligence always determines the best source to use for the request. If the media already exists in the proper location, it will be used in place; if it does not exist, it will automatically be transferred from the most convenient location, either as a full asset or as a partially extracted sub-clip.

ABOUT PRONOLOGY
Pronology’s digital asset management and production tools, designed by Emmy® Award winning developers, simplify the tasks of content creation and distribution for today’s file-based workflows by unifying the production process from acquisition to archive. Its award-winning standalone multi-resolution encoder, mRes™, provides even greater flexibility to today’s multi-resolution, multi-frame rate and multi-codec production environments, by providing access to multiple formats, instantaneously. Due to its native uncompressed recording architecture — various file formats can be created without any loss of quality or signal degradation since each copy is created from the original uncompressed file.
Pronology’s comprehensive CenterPoint™ asset management system allows a limitless number of users to simultaneously and remotely acquire, manage, approve, log, distribute, transcode and archive content using a standard web browser. Its user-friendly interface has been designed by users, for users, to accommodate a wide range of possible workflows. Its Location Intelligence feature further accommodates global workflows by allowing users to quickly determine whether content is available on-site or needs to be transferred from a distant location.
What It Is
Location Intelligence is a powerful, unique feature of Pronology's flagship media asset management (MAM) system that enables editors, producers and other users to quickly determine whether required content is available immediately on site or needs to be transferred from another site anywhere in the world. Giving users "at-a-glance" access to content in every format, including 4K, the feature was designed to erase the barriers of distance and add greater efficiency to tapeless production and post workflows. Location Intelligence is now available to all existing Pronology MAM system customers.
